The knäckebröt (in English crispbread) is a typical Swedish crunchy bread, well known and appreciated throughout northern Europe; the word knäckebröt derives from knäcke, which is an onomatopoeic sound that imitates the sound of crunchy bread breaking.

Crispbreads can be enjoyed as an alternative to bread, as a snack or as a base for preparing tasty canapés.

Suitable for a vegan diet, crispbreads are rich in fiber and are a good source of protein.
