Dietary supplement

Food supplement based on: Fermented red rice (Monacolin K), policosanols, beta-sitosterols, niacin, zinc, Q10 and folic acid. It is a food supplement containing natural ingredients that, associated with an adequate diet and lifestyle, favor the control of plasma levels of total cholesterol and for the containment of vascular risk.
It does not contain lactose.

Fermented red rice
Titrated in monacolin K, it is able to maintain total and LDL cholesterol and plasma triglycerides within physiological ranges and to promote the production of HDL cholesterol. The maximum daily dosage of monacolin K is 3 mg, the limit determined by the Ministry of Health.

Policosanols
Policosanol is a mixture of high molecular weight primary aliphatic alcohols isolated from sugar cane (Saccharumofficinarum). Their main component is octacosanol. It is capable of reducing cholesterol, in particular by loading the LDL fraction.

β-sitosterols
They favor the regulation of lipid metabolism, cholesterol and triglycerides, in the context of controlled diets.

Niacin
Niacin (vitamin B3 or nicotinic acid) helps to reduce plasma levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing the amount of HDL cholesterol.

Zinc
Zinc fights the negative effects of free radicals and the associated cellular aging processes, stimulates the immune system.

Coenzyme Q10
Antioxidant useful for counteracting the harmful effects caused by free radicals, thus participating in the prevention of vascular endothelial dysfunctions involved in the atherosclerotic process.

Folic acid
It is a vitamin (Vitamin B9), indicated in the prevention of some congenital defects; it decreases the risk of neural tube defects and, perhaps, of other congenital malformations, fundamental in protein metabolism, and in particular of homocysteine.

How to use
Take 1 tablet daily after the evening meal before going to bed for a period of at least 8 weeks which can be extended in case of benefit for longer times.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age.
Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
Do not take in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to the components.
Do not take during pregnancy and lactation and in case of therapy with lipid-lowering drugs (statins).
For children it is recommended to seek medical advice.

Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
Store in a cool and dry place away from light and heat sources.
