Dekoro Spray is a food supplement based on Vitamins D and K2. Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function. Contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

Information on the individual components

Vitamin D (calciferol) includes a group of fat-soluble secosteroids necessary both for the intestinal absorption of minerals (calcium, magnesium and phosphorus) and for many other biological functions. In humans, the most important compounds of this group are Vitamin D2 and Vitamin D3 which is considered about 50-100 times more active.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) plays a very important role in the homeostasis and metabolism of calcium and phosphorus, as it regulates their concentrations in the blood, promoting normal bone trophism, and also intervenes in the processes of cell division. Vitamin D also has other biological effects, including an important role on various neuromuscular and immune functions. The regulating action of blood calcium levels by Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function, since calcium is a fundamental mineral for correct muscle contraction.

Vitamin D can be taken or synthesized in three main ways

• Through adequate sun exposure: man is in fact able to synthesize Vitamin D starting from its precursor, which is found in the skin, which by absorbing solar radiant energy is transformed into cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3);
• Through nutrition: Vitamin D is scarcely present in foods, however some fatty fish (eg salmon and mackerel), milk and derivatives, eggs (yolk), liver and green vegetables contain a fair amount;
• By taking specific supplements.

The term Vitamin K refers to a group of fat-soluble compounds (which dissolve easily in fats) similar to each other, but not superimposable in structure and molecular properties or in the level of activity in the organism.
Vitamin K2 is fat-soluble and guarantees the correct functionality of some proteins, in particular osteocalcin, which forms and maintains strong bones. Osteocalcin (or bone GLA protein), activated by Vitamin K2, regulates the incorporation of calcium phosphate into the bones. Vitamin K2
it is mainly present in foods of animal origin, such as meat, beef and pork liver, some types of cheeses, eggs and natto (fermented soy beans), but it can also be produced by the intestinal bacterial flora through the fermentation of foods introduced with the diet.
