THICKENING POWDER

Indications
Instant thickener suitable for all patients with swallowing problems (dysphagia) or chewing difficulties who need diets with a suitably modified consistency. It can also be used to give body and increase the consistency of semi-liquid foods or in the form of puree, favoring their acceptance by patients.

How to use
Each patient requires levels of food consistency that must be defined according to specific needs: it is therefore advisable to follow the doctor's instructions.
Indicative doses for the different consistencies referred to aqueous solutions at room temperature and neutral pH:
syrup: obtained with 1 tablespoon (4.5 g approx.) of powder in 100 ml;
cream: obtained with 1.5 tablespoons (7 g approx.) of powder in 100 ml;
pudding: it is obtained with 2 tablespoons (9 g approx) of powder in 100 ml.
Sprinkle a little powder onto the liquid to thicken, stirring with a spoon or fork until completely dissolved. Check the consistency obtained (after approx. 2 ') and, if necessary, add more powder, stirring again. Continue in this way until the desired consistency is obtained. The high solubility of Dens Up makes the preparation very simple and it is not necessary to resort to the help of a shaker or a mixer to avoid the formation of crumbs.

Warnings
Not suitable for use as the sole source of nourishment. Use under medical supervision. Do not use in children under 3 years old.

storage
Keep in a cold and dry place. Close the jar tightly after use. Consume within 8 weeks of opening date.
