FUNCTIONAL SUBSTANCES

ARTICHOKE (leaves) Cynara scolimus L. Thanks to its bitter taste it is used in popular tradition to treat symptoms associated with digestive disorders and also as a protector of liver function. Contains cynarin, a polyphenol derived from caffeic acid.
DANDELION (root) Taraxacum officinale. It is a flowering plant (angiosperm) characterized by a large tap root from which a basal rosette of leaves develops at ground level. Contains linolic and linoleic acid.
FUMARIA (flowering herb). Fumaria officinalis is part of the papaveraceae family and the aerial parts such as the flowering tops are used. It is a plant with purifying, hepatoprotective and antispasmodic properties.
BURDOCK (root) Arctium lappa. It is part of the asteraceae family (compositae); it mainly uses the roots collected in the first year of vegetation or in the spring of the second year.
