DiosmectalGo Ipsen Anti-Diarrheal

Ready-to-drink suspension, in single-dose sachets for oral administration.

DiosmectalGo is indicated for

• Treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 8 years of age. Treatment of the administration of oral rehydrating solutions to avoid dehydration;
• Treatment of chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain in adults.

The main component of DiosmectalGo is diosmectite. which is a natural clay that helps block and treat diarrhea and relieve abdominal pain.

It was demonstrated that

• It binds to toxins and germs (bacteria and viruses) and helps eliminate them from the body;
• It protects the intestinal tract and helps repair intestinal damage thanks to its natural coating properties.

Ingrediants

Diosmectite, caramel cocoa flavor (blend of natural and synthetic flavors, caramel coloring E150d, caramelized sugar syrup, propylene glycol E1520, water, ethanol, caffeine), xanthan gum, citric acid monohydrate, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose, purified water.

How to use

This medical device is to be taken orally and is ready to drink. The contents of the sachet can be swallowed directly. Massage the sachet before opening it. Each sachet should only be used once after opening.

In case of acute diarrhea

Children (8-15 years included): 2 sachets to start, followed by 1 sachet each soft evacuation, up to 4 sachets per day. An oral rehydration solution (ORS) should be taken to replenish fluids lost due to diarrhea and to prevent dehydration.

Adults and children over 15 years

2 sachets to start, followed by 1 sachet each soft evacuation, up to 6 sachets per day.

In case of chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain

Adults only

Up to 3 sachets per day (1 in the morning, 1 in the middle of the day, 1 in the evening), as required.

Without medical advice, you can use this medical device for up to 2 weeks. Prolonged or repeated uses of DiosmectalGo are not recommended.

Warnings

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. It must not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the package. If you have forgotten to take a dose, take the dose after the next soft bowel movement (bowel movement). Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The most common side effect reported during treatment is constipation. If constipation occurs, treatment should be stopped and if necessary resumed at a lower daily dose. Other less common side effects reported include skin rash, hives, itching and angioedema (swollen skin, lips, throat and tongue). If you notice any other side effects not listed, or if any side effects persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
