Diveen® is an intravaginal device indicated for female urinary incontinence, especially from stress or mixed.

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the involuntary loss of urine through the urethra as a result of increased abdominal pressure and is the most common form of female incontinence. The symptoms of stress incontinence include involuntary passing of urine that cannot be countered when subjected to a little effort or, for example, when sneezing, laughing, during exercise or sexual activity. These leaks may consist of a few drops of urine or may be more consistent and cause skin irritation where the urine comes into contact with the skin. Despite the name, stress incontinence is not caused by psychological factors, but anxiety and discomfort due to the embarrassment caused by this disorder can also be counted among its secondary symptoms.

SUI is often experienced with depression and isolation related to the fear of not being able to control urinary loss. For this reason, the IUS heavily affects social relationships, the understanding of the couple and therefore compromising the quality of life of those who suffer from it.

Diveen is the first completely discreet, invisible and clinically proven hypoallergenic silicone intravaginal medical device suitable for all women who suffer from diurnal leakage. Diveen has been designed and engineered to support the internal vaginal wall underneath the bladder neck. When an effort is made, the weight of the bladder puts pressure on the flexible ring of the device. Consequently, the rigid part of the Diveen causes the urethra to close, greatly reducing the risk of urine leakage. Diveen is easy to use, it can be inserted and removed like a vaginal swab thanks to the applicator supplied and the terminal cord. Diveennon does not interfere with the physiological cycle of urination and can therefore be kept in place during urination.

How to use

Diveen can be used twice no more than 12 hours at a time, washed only with soap and water and stored in a clean, dry place. To prevent the risk of urinary tract infections or vaginal irritation, the Diven's surface has no micro-cavities that could be sites of bacterial proliferation and give rise to an infection. Diveen is made of a non-recyclable material and should therefore be disposed of with household waste.

Warnings

Do not use in combination with topical drugs or medicinal preparations. Remove the device overnight. In case of persistent itching or discomfort, remove the device immediately and consult a doctor. Do not use during pregnancy, after childbirth wait for the complete healing of the sutures and the end of blood loss before using Diveen. Do not use during menstruation.
