Drug Test Urine 10

Description
Rapid one-step screening for simultaneous detection of multiple drugs and metabolites in human urine: methamphetamine, methadone, amphetamine, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, phencyclidine, cocaine, marijuana, opiates, benzodiazepines.
It is an immunoassay based on the principle of competitive binding. Drugs that may be present in the urine specimen compete with their drug conjugate for the same antibody binding sites. During testing, a urine sample migrates upward by capillary action. A drug, if present in the urine specimen below its cut-off concentration, will not saturate the binding sites of its specific coated antibody on the test strip. Antibody-bound particles will be captured by the immobilized conjugate and a visible colored band will appear in the test line corresponding to the specific drug. The colored band will not form in the relevant area if the drug level is above its cut-off because it will saturate all the coated antibody binding sites on the particles.
A drug-positive urine specimen will not cause the colored band to form due to drug competition, while a drug-negative urine specimen or a specimen containing a drug concentration below the cut-off will cause the colored band to form in the specific test area.
To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear on the control line indicating that an adequate volume of specimen has been added and membrane migration has occurred.

How to use
Sample collection and preparation
The urine specimen should be collected in a clean, dry container. Urine collected at any time of day may be used. Urine specimens with visible precipitates should be centrifuged, filtered, or allowed to settle to obtain a clear specimen on which run a test.
Urine samples may be stored at 2-8°C for up to 48 hours prior to testing. For extended storage, specimens may be frozen and stored below -20°C. Frozen samples must be thawed and mixed prior to testing.

Testing procedure
Allow the test, urine specimen, and/or controls to reach room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.
Remove the test panel from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible. Remove the cap from the outside of the test tip.
With the wavy lines facing the urine sample, immerse the test panel vertically for at least 10-15 seconds. Immerse the test panel at least to the level of the wavy lines on the strip(s), do not go beyond the lines on the test panel while immersing the panel.
Recap the device and place the test panel on a flat non-absorbent surface, start the timer and wait for the colored lines to appear.
Read results after 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.

Interpretation of results
POSITIVE: A colored line in the Control Line Region (C) but no line in the Test Region (T) for a specific drug indicates a positive result. This indicates that the drug concentration in the sample exceeds the cut-off designated for that specific drug.

NEGATIVE: Two distinct colored lines appear. One colored line in the control line region (C) and one colored line in the test region (T) p
