Eutylia Mom

Food supplement based on Omega3 with vitamins and minerals

The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding are particularly critical from the food-dietary point of view, as the diet has a fundamental impact on the health of both the mother and the child. To optimize the health status of a pregnant woman and to reduce the risk of malformations or diseases of the unborn child, it is essential that the mother reaches an optimal nutritional state before, during and after the gestation period, which includes both breastfeeding, whose nutritional requirements are even higher than those of pregnancy (Picciano MF, J Nutr 2003; 133: 1997S) which is a recovery phase. Women should always consume, but with even greater attention from conception to the end of breastfeeding, a varied diet capable of satisfying nutritional needs as defined by the national and international dietary guidelines (LARN and RDA). The increased energy requirement, typical of the second third trimester of pregnancy, is estimated at about 300-400 kcal / day with a possible increase to 500 kcal / day for adolescents under 14 years of age. In the period of breastfeeding, the increase in caloric requirements is expected to be in the order of 500 kcal / day. To reach the caloric quota required during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is usually sufficient to increase the quantity of foods normally consumed. In general, therefore, a suitable and correct diet is sufficient to progress a pregnancy without risk and to support a normal breastfeeding. However, there are some nutrients, the contribution of which may not be entirely satisfactory; in this case an appropriate supplementation could be advisable.

EuTylia mamma is a food supplement based on OMEGA 3, with Folic Acid, Minerals and Vitamins.

Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and supports normal hematopoiesis while the iron of vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12 favors the normal formation of red blood cells. OMEGA 3 (EPA and DHA) are a category of essential fatty acids present in cell membranes useful in maintaining their integrity.
