HEPATIC DETOXIFYER

The liver is an important organ with multiple functions all essential to keep the body in perfect working order. Some of its functions are:

• filter the blood and eliminate all toxic substances, both from the outside (e.g. drugs, alcohol) and from the inside (e.g. lactic acid)
• produce reserve substances (eg. triglycerides, cholesterol, glycogen) to be used when more energy is needed - destruction of "old" red blood cells ( haemocateresis )
• production of bile , which is important for digestive processes
