What Effeci® VITADEK is and what it is used for

Effeci® VITADEK is a food for special medical purposes in jelly containing fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K at the optimal dosages indicated for the dietary treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis.
It has been shown that fat-soluble vitamin deficiency from birth plays a key role in the course of the disease, especially in patients with pancreatic insufficiency.
Following the lack of pancreatic enzymes, patients develop a state of deficiency of vitamins A, D, E, K. The use of Effeci® VITADEK, thanks to the specific formulation and the use of the exclusive pharmaceutical form jelly, promotes recovery the condition of normovitaminosis effectively improving patient compliance.

What does Effeci® VITADEK contain

Effeci® VITADEK contains the pool of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K at the optimal dosages indicated for the dietary treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis. Vitamin A is essential for vision, the integrity and proliferation of epithelial cells and for immunity. Vitamin D plays an important role in calcium absorption and in the proper metabolism of bone tissue. Inadequate levels of 25-0H vitamin D can favor bone fractures and the onset of osteoporosis. Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol) is a powerful antioxidant whose low blood levels lead to haemolytic anemia, neuromuscular degeneration and cognitive deficits. Vitamin K1 plays a fundamental role in coagulation and bone metabolism.

How to take Effeci® VITADEK

The recommended dose for oral use is 1 jelly per day for children and 2 jelly per day for adults, or as indicated by the doctor. Take Effeci® VITADEK at any time of the day, preferably after taking pancreatic enzymes.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

pregnant women should use Effeci® VITADEK under medical supervision.

How to store Effeci® VITADEK

Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and direct heat sources. Store in the original packaging.

Warnings

The product must be used under medical supervision. It is indicated for the diet of subjects suffering from cystic fibrosis. It cannot be used as the sole source of nutrition. The product may pose health risks if consumed by people not affected by the disease for which it is indicated.

in case of accidental ingestion / intake of an excessive dose of Effeci® VITADEK consult your doctor.
