Calofilla oil, or Tamanu, is extracted from the almonds contained in the fruit of the Tamanu plant.
It is a slightly greenish dark yellow oil whose smell resembles, albeit sweeter, to that of walnut. Due to its intrinsic characteristics it keeps well and its protective properties promote healing by regenerating the cells of the epidermis and mucous membranes.
Calofilla vegetable oil is indicated in case of burns, sores and cracks and to treat eczema and acne lesions. It has the particularity of acting effectively on shingles and scabies.
It also has anti-radical and anti-inflammatory virtues, which is why it is indicated in the treatment of rheumatism, back pain or sciatica. It is recommended for circulatory problems, especially venous (varicose veins and hemorrhoids).
For external use it is effective in the protection of small capillaries and is recommended to treat and prevent cases of couperose and gingivitis. In the cosmetic field, Calophyll oil is often used as a raw material for regenerating products, it protects from the sun's rays, calms irritation and prevents the appearance of wrinkles and stretch marks.
