Indications

Conditions that may benefit from immobilization or knee ROM control such as:

• traumatic injuries of the muscles, ligaments or joint capsule
• hyperextension from neurological or genetic diseases (e.g. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome)

Contraindications

The medical device is safe when used as intended.

Characteristics

Brace equipped with two lateral splints with anti-hyperextension knee dynamic spring system.

Polycentric ROM adjustable in flexion (0, 10, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110) and extension (0, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110).

Structure with three padded, comfortable and breathable panels to protect the leg and thigh.

Adjustable upper and lower closure straps.

Removable condylar pads.

How to wear it

• Undo the straps and fully open the brace
• Remove the padding. The wider pads refer to the thigh, the narrower ones to the leg.
• Wrap the thigh and leg pads. If necessary, use the quadrangular pads to completely envelop the limb.
• Apply the splints laterally through the hook and loop fasteners so that they are parallel to the limb and the ROM centered on the axis of rotation of the knee. The wider perforated plate should be placed on the thigh, the smaller one on the leg.
• Close the brace using the straps starting with those closest to the knee, exerting adequate traction to prevent slipping.

ROM setting instructions

• Open the safety cover
• Set the required flexion / extension by acting on the splints of the brace
• Lock the brace in flexion / extension using the pins to be inserted in the appropriate holes
• Close the safety cover (click)
• Repeat the same operations for the other ROM

Warnings and precautions for use

Store in a dry environment away from excessive heat and light.

Do not prolong the use of the product without medical advice.

The product is designed for use by one person only, do not use it on multiple people.

The product must not be used in direct contact with damaged skin.

Do not use in case of allergic or hypersensitivity to the components of the product.

If you encounter problems in using the product such as the appearance of pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare professional.

In the event of a serious accident following the use of the product, contact the manufacturer and the local health care provider.

It is advisable, the first time, to have the product positioned by a qualified operator and to carry out subsequent positioning independently in the same way.

• 40% polyester
• 40% polyamide
• 20% elastane

Washing instructions

Hand wash in warm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, wring gently, let dry horizontally. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.

Instructions for disposal

The product must be disposed of in compliance with current regulations. CASE: C / PAP 81 - PAPER. Recycling. Check the provisions of your municipality.
