Eleutherococcus (Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a plant native to the temperate-cold areas of the Far East (Russia, North China, Manchuria, Korea), where it grows in the taiga undergrowth.
Also known as Siberian ginseng, it is an adaptogenic plant, i.e. able to increase the body's defenses against psychophysical stressors.
It is traditionally used for its action to improve energy efficiency during periods of particular physical fatigue and as an anti-fatigue.
The intake of eleuthero has shown the ability to increase resistance to fatigue and cold in workers subjected to thermal stress (working conditions at -5 °).
It can relieve symptoms associated with stress, which can manifest itself as a feeling of general malaise, fever, chills, sore throat, muscle or joint pain, headache.
