The elmex® JUNIOR toothbrush with special bristles arranged in an X has been designed to facilitate brushing during the period of mixed dentition and to allow adequate cleaning up to the interproximal spaces.

Proper oral hygiene for children

From the age of six, children are able to brush all their teeth, but are not yet able to remove all the plaque.

For this reason, every day - the evening before going to bed - you should brush the teeth of your children again and, in particular, the permanent molars just erupted. This is because they hide under the milk molars for a long time.

It is advisable to brush the permanent molars laterally with respect to the row of teeth.

How often should you brush your teeth?

Dentists recommend brushing your teeth at least 2 times a day or after each meal. The use of fluoride toothpaste is recommended.

Furthermore, it is recommended to use elmex® gel once a week, and to use the mouthwash every day. Compared to just brushing your teeth, combined use significantly reduces the risk of tooth decay.
