The anti-inflammatory, refreshing, immunomodulating, cortisone-like activity of glycyrizin is enhanced by another type of adaptogens, discovered relatively recently: the ecdisteroids. This group of substances, widespread in certain plant and animal species, seem to positively correlate with their growth phases (F. Camps and J. Coll, Phytochemistry, vol 32, n. 6, page 1368), with anabolic activity (VN Syrov, 1984, Biol Nauk, 9, 37), with glycidic (M. Uchiyama, T. Yoshida, 1974), and lipid (Syrov, Khushbaktova, Abzalova, Sultanov, 1983, Dokl Akad. Nauk, 9 , 44), with profound effects on the respiratory chain (Tashmukhamedova, Almatov, Khushbaktova, Syrov, Sultanov, 1986, Vopr. Med. Khim, 32, 81).

Red Elm

Active substances:

Tannin (3%). Salts of Si, Ca, K, and Na. Phytosterin, ulmin, stigmasterin. Flobafene. Mucilage.

Already Pliny, in his "Natural History" (XXIV, 48), asserted that: "the leaves, the bark and the twigs of Elm had the property of coagulating and healing wounds.". Theophrastus, Dioscorides, Galen boasted similar properties. In 1751 Don Nicolas Alexandre states: "Everything is vulnerable in the elm.". Today, the FDA has included it in its pharmacopoeia.

Concluding remarks

The plant world, our progenitor in the phylogenetic process, remains the least polluted living expression of the vital harmonies of the planet; matter became life thanks to continuous exchanges between cosmo-telluric radiations and protoplasmic forces, in that perfect unstable equilibrium that characterizes the eurythmy of life.

When the biological values and the trophism of two synergistic remedies such as the elm and the fern are added, which in the non-aged rhizome and in the internal part of the cortex contain, among other things, meristematic elements (i.e. embryonic cells), then the regenerating, nourishing, emollient powers, can be effective local support of the human mesenchyme, therefore able to happily reactivate the homeostatic mechanisms, always, of course, that the vital parameters of the patient's biological soil are not too compromised, which, fortunately , it is rare, if not terminal.

Dosage

We recommend one or two daily applications: one before bedtime, and possibly another as needed, especially in the presence of pain.
