enteroB Igea Food Supplement

EnteroB is a supplement of Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Bacillus Clausii and B vitamins, useful for the balance of the intestinal flora.

How to use

It is recommended to take two capsules a day, after the main meals

THE PROBIOTICS

The digestive system hosts a multitude of microorganisms belonging to over a thousand different species of bacteria, as the intestinal environment, in particular the colon, thanks to a slow transit, the ready availability of nutrients, at the optimal pH and temperature, offers conditions conducive to bacterial growth.

The microflora, in eubiosis, i.e. in equilibrium, performs numerous and important functions useful to the host organism:

It helps to create a barrier that prevents infection of the gastrointestinal tract by pathogenic bacteria

Recover energy from undigested carbohydrates in the upper intestine

It intervenes in the production and absorption of vitamins of group B, K and folic acid, and in the metabolism of bile and xenobiotic acids

It affects the functioning of the immune response

All these functions are therefore found in a complex relationship with the composition of the intestinal flora and numerous factors can lead to dysbiosis with consequent alteration of the same:

Environmental circumstances (antibiotic therapies, improvement of hygiene measures "hygiene hypothesis")

Changes in the physiological conditions of the host (age, stress, state of health)

Composition of the diet (a varied and high-fiber diet favors eubiosis)

THE VITAMINS OF GROUP B

What are they and what are they for

Vitamins - "amines of life" - of group B are called "energy vitamins" because they facilitate the conversion of carbohydrates into glucose, which is then transformed by the body to produce energy. They belong to the class of so-called micronutrients and their action is essential for metabolizing fats and proteins. They play a central role in the functioning of the nervous system, in maintaining muscle tone at the gastrointestinal level and are crucial for the health of the liver, skin, hair, eyes and mouth. They also have a protective role because they defend the body from oxidative stress. The B vitamin complex must be taken through foods such as, for example, brewer's yeast, liver, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, fish, eggs, milk and dairy products. Bacteria present in the intestinal flora are also a significant source of B vitamins.

Symptoms and effects of a lack of B vitamins

Often the deficiency of vitamins of group B manifests itself through rather generic symptoms. The person feels asthenia, difficulty concentrating and therefore a widespread sense of malaise.

Specific symptoms may concern physiological, psychic and behavioral aspects:

dry skin, dermatitis and scalp problems (baldness, premature gray hair and brittle hair)

burning sensation in the eyes and consequent photosensitivity

loss of appetite, hypercholesterolemia, constipation and / or diarrhea

physical weakness and mental fatigue, insomnia, mood problems

Most frequent causes of B vitamins deficiency

Since the vitamins of the B complex are assimilated through food and find a favorable environment in the intestinal bacterial flora, their absorption can however be compromised by eating habits that involve an excess of coffee, sugar, alcohol or following some pharmacological therapies based on sleeping pills, contraceptives and antibiotics. In particular, the latter contribute to altering and impoverishing the intestinal bacterial flora, to the point of sometimes causing diarrhea. For this reason, after antibiotic therapy it is advisable to adopt a diet rich in fruit and vegetables, reinforcing the reconstruction of the bacterial flora and following the advice of the doctor or pharmacist.
