The first inhalation chamber in antistatic aluminum and 6-petal valve helps to eliminate the deposit of the medicine in the areas of the mouth and pharynx and directs the finest particles of medicine into the lungs.

“Shake, press and inspire”, this should be the summary of the instructions for use for an aerosol dispenser. Yet for many patients it is not that simple, especially for children and the elderly. These patients often have difficulty activating the aerosol dispenser and inhaling immediately afterwards. This often leads to increased deposition of the medicine in the mouth and pharynx areas. The Respiro® Antistatic Inhalation Spacer helps overcome this hurdle of spray dispensers. When the patient inhales the medicine, the Respiro® spacer creates a vortex that directs the finest particles into the lungs, also aided by the antistatic treatment applied to the chamber. The mouth-pharynx area thus remains free from unwanted drug deposits. The antistatic treatment present inside the expansion chamber also prevents aerosol particles from adhering to the wall. The 6-petal valve offers minimal resistance to the medicine particles, while preventing the patient from exhaling inside the chamber itself.

How to use the Respiro® expansion chamber correctly:

• insert the regulator into the Respiro® spacer,
• shake energetically,
• then proceed with dispensing the aerosol and breathe with your mouth,
• hold your breath for 10 seconds.
