Swiss stone pine

Essential oil

The Swiss stone pine grows in the Alps and its natural habitat is concentrated in Austria and South Tyrol. Its wood is used for the production of furniture, beds and cots; and traditionally as a covering in bedrooms and Stubi (relaxation areas after work). The reasons? The stone pine wood (or Swiss pine) has an anti-moth effect and keeps molds away; but above all it transmits a positive effect to the human psyche (calm and concentration) in the environment.

This traditionally perceived property has found scientific confirmation in a research conducted by the Ioanneum Research Weiz Institute (Austria). In the subjects who slept in rooms set up with pine wood, "... an acceleration of the recovery processes during sleep; a reduction in heart rate (average saving of about 3500 heartbeats per day) ..."

The essential oil is rich in Alpha-Betapinene; its scent is aromatic, resinous and balsamic. It demonstrates an excellent Relaxing effect (particularly useful in hypertensive, agitated, easy to tachycardia-anxiety-panic subjects); Balsamic (upper airways, chronic sinusitis); Purifying the environment (closed, crowded places); Mothproof for drawers.
