Pine bark and grape seeds. A winning couple for well-being.

Despite such a complex name, this family of polyphenols - which belongs to the well-known class of bioflavonoids - is present in high concentrations in really simple elements such as red grape seeds and maritime pine bark.
The story has it that a pine infusion, prepared by a Native American, saved the crew of the French explorer Jacques Cartier who, imprisoned in Canadian ice for months and forced to a diet of only bread and dried meat, without fruit and vegetable, had shown symptoms of malaise.
Many years later a professor from Bordeaux, intrigued by this story, with his scientific studies, identified the beneficial active ingredients of the pine bark: oligomeric proanthocyanidins; later discovered also in grape seeds.
Today the challenge is increasingly difficult: our diet is sometimes hasty and not very varied and balanced, the rhythms are frenetic and we cannot give up some bad habits.
