Artichoke

Tincture

The ARTICHOKE is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the ASTERACEAE family. It has broad basal leaves, simple or branched stems. The flowers are gathered in very large flower heads surrounded by scales: it is widely cultivated in the Mediterranean region of Italy where it is used in cooking. The leaves harvested in April-May, before the flowering of the plant, are dried in the shade and stored in paper or canvas bags.

Cholagogue, choleretic, hypocholesterolemic, hypoglycemic, diuretic, hepatoprotector.

INDICATIONS
Hepatic insufficiency, to improve digestive and hepatic function, hypercholesterolemia, water retention, cellulite, hyperuricemia, gout, chronic degenerative rheumatism.

RECOMMENDED DOSES
Tincture: 20-25 drops 2-3 times a day diluted in a little sweetened water if necessary
