FENNEL is a biennial herbaceous plant that in Italy grows in its spontaneous form from the sea to the submontane region, in arid places and on old walls. it is widely grown for food use. The fruits are harvested in August-September by cutting the umbrellas which are tied in bunches and dried in the shade.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Essential oil (anethole, limonene, fellanthrene, pinene, anisic acid, anisic aldehyde, camphene), proteins, fatty oil, flavonoids.

PROPERTY
Stimulating gastrointestinal motility, stomachic, carminative, antispasmodic, galactogogue, helps sleep (essential oil), secretolytic.

INDICATIONS
Difficult digestions, halitosis, loss of appetite, aerophagia, meteorism, hiccups, abdominal pain, mild intestinal colic in children, insomnia, difficult milk supply, inflammation of the upper airways.

RECOMMENDED DOSES
Tablets: 2 tablets with main meals.
