MELISSA is useful for anxious states, hysterics, nervous insomnia, nervous palpitations, migraines, painful menstruation, mild intestinal colic, painful digestions.

MELISSA is a perennial herbaceous plant with a lignified rhizome from which the quadrangular section stems branch off. It has opposite, oval leaves with a toothed margin. The surface is reticulated-wrinkled and variously hairy. It grows in the cool and shady places of the Mediterranean and mountain areas throughout Italy.

PROPERTY

Antispasmodic, spasmolytic, sedative, stomachic, digestive, choleretic, antifermentative, antidepressant, virustatic (from recent studies it seems that rosmarinic acid and phenolic analogues are able to occupy the viral receptors thus preventing the absorption of the Herpes virus through the membrane cell phone), painkiller and insect repellent (external use).

INDICATIONS

Anxiety states, hysterics, nervous insomnia, nervous palpitations, migraines, painful menstruation, mild intestinal colic, painful digestions.

RECOMMENDED DOSES

TABLETS: 2-3 tablets twice a day.
