Description:

Although it is obtained starting from fatty alcohols, Fattylan should not be considered as a simple substitute or as a variant of the emulsifying waxes that have already been on the market for some time.

Fattylan possesses all the valuable characteristics of emulsifying waxes and has a degree of dermophilia identical to these, but it differs from them because it has a specific weight very close to unity.

Another great advantage of Fattylan lies in the fact that in the emulsions in which it is inserted, solid materials in the form of powders can be held in suspension.

The practical applications of Fattylan are innumerable and among these we remember:

- Bases for ointments: (ichthyol, zinc, iodine, iodides, sulfamide).

- Emulsions: (benzyl benzoate, revulsive, proflavine).

- Liniments: (methylsalicylate, turpentine, capsicum).

- Creams: (penicillin, sulfonamides, vitamins, hormones).

- Cosmetic creams: (vanishing, emollients, astringents, cleansers, oily, semi-greasy, night-creams, fluid, semi-fluid, pre and post-shave, for masks, tint funds, liquid powders, theater make-up).
