Food supplement based on cloves, cited in scientific literature as an adjuvant in anthelmintic treatments.


PROPERTIES: Cloves have no affinity with the flower that in Italy we call Carnation, the drug consists of the flower buds (also called buttons) of Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb. (fam. Myrtaceae), a small evergreen tree native to the Moluccas. An essential oil is extracted from the drug with analgesic and anesthetic properties, which are exploited especially in dentistry; but the drug itself is widely used as a condiment as a flavoring and in the preparation of some liqueurs, of which Alchermes is the most renowned. Its most important properties are: antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, analgesic and anesthetic, general tonic-stimulant, intestinal and respiratory spasmolytic, emmenagogue. Finds indications in odontalgia and as an antiseptic of the oral cavity; pharyngitis and tonsillitis; viral and spasmodic enterocolitis, bacterial colitis; psychophysical asthenia, hypotension; oligomenorrhea.

HOW TO USE: For a better use of the product it is suggested to take 1 capsule at lunch and one at dinner. Different posologies may be recommended by the pharmacist or doctor.

COMPOSITION: Cloves (Eugenia caryophillanta buds), cellulose, vegetable magnesium stearate.
