DRY EYES

Description
Sterile solution for ophthalmic use with a physiological pH, containing sodium hyaluronate and distilled waters of ginkgo biloba, blueberry, fennel and gotu kola and divided into practical 0.5 ml single-dose containers, without preservatives. Sodium hyaluronate gives the medical device mucomimetic and visco-elastic properties in order to guarantee adequate lubrication of the ocular surface, protecting it from the friction generated by eye movements. Furthermore, the polymer is able to retain water: for this reason the solution is able to keep the ocular surface moist and increase the stability of the tear film, protecting the ocular mucosa from external agents. Ginkgo biloba improves visibility at great distances, relieves tiredness and redness of the eyes and ocular mucous membranes. This plant, together with the Asian centella, are used as they are particularly useful in assisting the processes of reducing irritation. The blueberry in the context of the formulation is used for its refreshing properties: it gives relief to tired eyes and acts as a protection for the ocular mucosa against atmospheric agents and against environmental factors. Fennel is used in eye disorders to soothe the burning sensation and, together with the blueberry, they are used for their repairing action. The solution contains boric acid and sodium tetraborate decahydrate, as a buffer system, hexium chloride so as to guarantee a physiological solution. Therefore, Euphralia DRY EYES performs a moisturizing and lubricating action on the ocular surface and provides temporary relief from burning, irritation and discomfort related to dry eyes. Euphralia DRY EYES can be used with contact lenses, without the need to remove them. The device can be used by children following medical advice.
It protects and repairs the ocular mucosa and is indicated to refresh, soothe and lubricate the irritated mucosa or in case of dry eye disorders. The most common causes of dry eyes and irritation can be:
- use of contact lenses for many consecutive hours;
- environmental reasons (air conditioning, excessive exposure to solar radiation, wind, smoke, pollution);
- dry eye caused by excessive hours of study, too many hours of work at the PC, dry eye syndrome;
- stress resulting from eye surgery.
