Euroderm Foam
Non-adhesive polyurethane foam.
Hydrocellular polyurethane foam with three-layer structure with entire hydroactive surface.
Dressing consisting of a layer of highly absorbent polyurethane foam, a breathable polyurethane film, impermeable to water and bacteria and a perforated polyurethane film that is not adherent in contact with the wound.
Absorbed liquids are evenly distributed within the foam which therefore conforms perfectly to the wound bed promoting the ideal environment for the healing process.
The high absorption capacity of the PU foam dressing allows you to reduce the number of changes ensuring patient comfort and a reduction in costs in wound management.
The particular “flat edge” structure facilitates the application of a secondary fixation dressing (tape plaster, polyurethane film-Euroderm oeuroderm roll or cohesive bandage) and guarantees further protection against the escape of liquids.
The thickness of the foam creates the cushioning effect that reduces the pressure on the lesion, counteracts any frictional forces and thus guarantees comfort and protection for the patient.
In the presence of necrotic tissue or fibrinous lesions, use in combination with Hydromed gel is recommended.
The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days. The frequency of change is linked to the type of lesion, the quantity of exudate and the clinical conditions.
Indications
- Pressure ulcers from 1st to 4th stage
- Post-operative wounds
- Vascular lesions
- 1st and 2nd degree burns
- Lesions with particularly fragile and delicate periwound skin
- Skin sampling sites
