PMRs are products which, assisting the rehabilitation intervention promoted by neurologists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, kinesiologists, intervene in the correction of the problems of the Postural System by modulating the electromagnetic signals of the postural receptors.

The Orthostatic Position or Posture is a characteristic of the human species and is an indispensable function for survival; The man stands up almost unaware of the activation of muscles, tendons and the engagement of the joints; hundreds of nerve impulses arrive or depart from our brain every second, to make just a small gesture.

To do this, the body uses sensory receptors, transducers that transform a sensory signal into an electromagnetic signal. We have 2 types of receptors: exoreceptors (plantar threshold, vision, inner ear, stomatognathic system, skin) and endoreceptors (neuro-muscular spindles, joint receptors, tendon stretching receptors).

It is possible to evaluate with clinical tests or with stabilometric posturographic platforms if the Posture is in balance; these tests allow us to note the deviations from the center of gravity or center of pressure both in static and during walking and running, they allow us to establish whether the postural problem is of the descending type (i.e. dependent on the eyes, mouth, tongue, ear, from the psyche) or ascending type (dependent on the complex of feet, knee, hip, rachis, vertebral column, viscera). Sometimes the problems are mixed.

Postural Reprogramming interventions are still of various types (insoles, glasses, orthodontic appliances, vertebral manipulations, various postural gymnastics, etc.), but to obtain stable results it is necessary to assist the various techniques with products capable of intervening on the regulation of the electromagnetic signal coming from the postural receptors, determining a feed-back control of the correct execution of the motor commands by the spinal and encephalic nuclei. This is the mechanism of action of the PRMs.

At a sporting level , PMRs guarantee recovery and uniform distribution of muscle tone and fascial elasticity to the entire static chain of the organism; this rebalancing is useful for the sportsman as, by freeing the phasic muscles of the dynamics from chronic contractions, it allows him to use all his dynamic muscle mass and express all his power.
