Calcium alginates

Eurosorb is a conformable and highly absorbent sterile dressing composed of calcium alginate fibers. In contact with the exudate, Eurosorb forms a biocompatible gel which maintains a physiological moist environment, stimulates the healing process and the formation of granulation tissue.

Ownership :

-Highly absorbent: Eurosorb can absorb up to 15 times its weight of exudate. The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the amount of exudate.

-Integral and easy to remove: Eurosorb is an integral alginate that absorbs exudates and retains them between the fibers. The advantage is that it can be removed in one piece without the need for irrigation as the risk of fiber release is minimized.

Eurosorb, available in tablet and roll, is indicated for moderately to heavily exuding wounds such as:
- ulcers of the lower limbs
pressure ulcers
- skin transplant sites

Eurosorb, in the roll version, is indicated for hyperexuding cavity lesions.

Eurosorb is latex free.

Contraindications: Do not use Eurosorb on dry wounds, 3rd degree burns and surgical implants.

Characteristics

Intended use:

To be used for moderately to heavily exuding flat and cavity lesions, such as: venous leg ulcers, decubitus and pressure ulcers, skin transplant sites.
