Safety containers designed in compliance with the provisions of art. 2 of Legislative Decree 28/09/1990 relating to the protection rules against professional HIV infection in public and private health and essential structures. This decree specifies that the containers must be used for the elimination of needles and other sharp objects used against any patient.
It is also specified: " in particular, scalpel blades and other disposable sharp or cutting instruments must not be removed from syringes or other supports nor in any way manipulated or hooded, but placed for elimination, in special containers resistant to punctures ".
The walls of the safety containers, as well as their double guaranteed sealing lid, ensure against the risk of perforation or leakage of waste liquids and allow safe transport to the waste incinerator.
The safety containers are bright yellow and with embossed lettering.

Each container is supplied with an original internal tear-off disc placed in the lid. This is to avoid any contact with the needles.
The safety containers are made of polypropylene (they do not contain PVC) and can be sterilized. The closure system of the cap located in the lid allows a temporary safety closure when the container is in the progressive filling phase.
In fact, by inserting the cap with the narrower diameter surface (side A) into the hole in the lid, it will be possible to open and close the container several times.
Compliant with the ministerial provisions issued with the Decree of 28 September 1990 - art. 2 - published in the Official Gazette dated 8-10-1990 - General Series - 235 and complies with the requirements indicated in the Decree of 26 June 2000, 219 and with Presidential Decree 254-15.07.2003.

When the container is completely filled (approx. +/- 70-80%) of the maximum volume of the container, it is possible, for the models of 500 cc., 1500 cc. and 2000 cc., close the cap so that it can no longer be reopened. (This feature is not present in the 100 cc model.).
To obtain this second function it is necessary to insert the cap upside down (side B), i.e. with the larger diameter surface facing the hole and pushing it all the way down.
