Tick Removal Pliers

Indications:
for easy removal of the tick from the skin.

How to use:
- grasp the pliers and firmly grasp the tick, as close as possible to the acute; press the upper button to allow the tick to grip and release slowly; exert a gentle anti-clockwise rotation and pull lightly, but without tearing, to avoid breaking;
- protect your hands with gloves or a handkerchief during the operation, to avoid the possibility of infection through small lesions of the skin or self-injection via conjunctival or oral;
- if the rostrum of the tick remains inside the skin, remove it with the help of a needle. Any remnants of the tick's body left in the skin usually have no consequences;
- apply disinfectants and antibiotics on the part only after the extraction of the tick, avoiding those that color the skin (iodine tincture, mercurochrome) because they could mask signs of infection;
- the removed tick should be placed in a closed container with alcohol, petroleum or other substance to be killed. It must absolutely not be crushed because its eggs would spread everywhere;
- the removal of the tick should be followed by an observation period lasting 30.40 days to identify the appearance of any signs and symptoms of infection in the site of the bite, what is called Migrant Erythema.
