Dietary supplement

It is a food supplement in gastro-resistant capsules. FARMAdol is based on Glucosamine sulfate, Chondroitin sulfate, Perna canaliculus extract and plant extracts of Turmeric, Boswellia and Black Pepper and with Manganese. Curcuma and Boswellia extracts contribute to physiological joint function and Boswellia is useful for counteracting localized states of tension.

The presence of vegetable extracts of turmeric and boswellia make this supplement particularly suitable for a first intervention against muscle and joint trauma.
In fact, various active ingredients that are allies of our health are extracted from the turmeric root and among the most important we find the curcuminoids, polyphenols with a strong antioxidant activity, responsible for the yellow color of turmeric.
Research shows that among these polyphenols curcumin is of particular importance being able to interact with numerous factors involved in the inflammatory process and thus making turmeric a particularly valuable plant in the acute phase of inflammatory processes.

In fact, the literature shows that curcumin modulates the inflammatory response by inhibiting the activity of the enzymes cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), lipoxygenase (LOX) and inducible nitric oxide synthetase (iNOS). The inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 and lipoxygenase leads downstream to the inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes respectively, substances involved in the inflammatory response of the organism.
Furthermore, it has been shown that curcumin also blocks the production of inflammatory cytokines, important mediators of the inflammatory response, such as: tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) and various interleukins (IL) such as IL-1 and IL-8.
There are numerous in vivo studies demonstrating the action of curcumin in reducing inflammation and in many of these it was found that high-dose curcumin has been shown to be effective in reducing edema, one of the typical consequences of inflammation.
Equally important is the presence of boswellia. Boswellic acids are extracted from the resin of this plant, which are also able to modulate the inflammatory response.
In fact, it has been shown that boswellic acids are able to inhibit the lipoxygenase enzyme and the migration of nucleated polymorph leukocytes, particular white blood cells that intervene in the initial stages of the inflammatory response.
Thanks to these characteristics it has been shown that boswellic acids contribute to the reduction of inflammation and pain and the reduction of joint edema.
The presence of the extract of Perna canaliculus extract helps to increase the anti-inflammatory action. In fact, this mollusk has known anti-inflammatory properties.

FARMAdol also contains glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate, fundamental molecules for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, important structural components of cartilage.
