• Tanacetum Vulgare
The flowered tops exert an anxiolytic, calming and preventive action, thanks to the action of its active ingredients (tanacetin, tanacetone, thujone, glucosides, gallic acid, essential oils, camphor and borneol, flavonoids, tartrates, citrates, tannins, mucilages ), on headaches.
• Eschscholtzia californica
The aerial parts of the escolzia (stem, flower) contain alkaloids (0.5%), phytosterols, carotenoids and flavonoids which give the plant sedative properties. Flavonoids also improve the circulation of the microcirculation. The plant also has an antispasmodic and analgesic action, due to the presence of chelidonia, which acts as a spasmolytic especially in headaches.
• Ginkgo biloba
Ginkgo biloba leaves contain terpenes (ginkgolide B) which block lipid peroxidation, involved in platelet aggregation and polyphenols and flavonoids (ginketol, isiginketol, bilabetol, ginkolide) which act on cell membranes, stabilizing them and counteracting the formation of free radicals . Particularly known for its activity on venous, arterial and capillary circulation, the plant is also widely used as a blood thinner, because it decreases its viscosity, in the prevention of thrombus and heart attacks. Due to this property, ginkgo also helps oxygenation and nourishment of tissues, with beneficial effects, in particular, on the blood supply of brain tissues.
• Mentha piperita
The results of a German study published some time ago on Cephalalgia by researchers from the University of Kiel and subsequently taken up by Iranian researchers from the University of Medical Sciences in Shiraz who published another research in the International Journal of Clinical Practice confirming that the extract mint is an effective remedy for migraine and tension-type headache. To be precise, the Germans found that peppermint essential oil achieves a significant reduction in pain (40.3%) and the Iranians saw that even a 10% solution of menthol equally significantly reduces the number of migraine patients with aura. In both cases, these are double-blind studies with placebo control and therefore conducted according to the criteria of scientificity.
• Rosa canina MG
A particular characteristic of Rosa canina MG is its positive action in vasomotor headache. In fact, it seems that the bud extract acts by promoting the neutralization of tyramine, the release of which is considered one of the causes of headache. Valuable in the treatment of migraines and headaches resistant to most of the classic therapies.
