However, they have the ability to partially retain the biological liquid that contaminates the cutting edge and thus exert a barrier effect if tested “FOR BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL RISK”. The product is a class I medical device but undergoes the tests required for the third category PPE due to the non-aggressive chemical risk.
