Non-alcoholic extract

Ficus carica is a small xerophilic tree (it grows in saline soils), native to Asia and widespread in Mediterranean countries or in temperate climates. Known since ancient times, Ficus carica bears the name of the remote region that gave it its birth, namely Caria, located in Asia Minor. Traces of this plant are also found between the civilizations of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Today the Ficus carica, also known as common fig, is the most cultivated plant in the regions of southern Italy, such as Calabria and Sicily, although Turkey is also among the major growers of particular varieties.

The drug consists of the buds and leaves of the fig which are traditionally used for:

• the digestive and protective function of the stomach;
• the functionality of the mucous membranes of the respiratory system;
• the regularity of intestinal transit.

Our formulation of Fig buds is very concentrated: it starts from the buds of the plant and through a particular type of extraction a non-alcoholic extract is obtained, which differs from the normal glycerin macerate since the drug-solvent ratio is higher. The extraction is carried out through a dynamic process that exploits the combined action of pressure and depression in alternating phases to which the plant matrix is subjected for a certain number of cycles. The extraction process takes place at room temperature without any degradation of the active ingredients. The solvents are natural: vegetable glycerin and water, giving life to an alcohol-free product. These characteristics give the non-alcoholic extract a higher concentration of the active ingredient of the gem, making it tolerable even for those who cannot take alcohol.

Packaging: dark glass bottle with dropper available in 50 ml or 100 ml format. Alcohol-free.

HOW TO USE

It is recommended to take 30 drops diluted in half a glass of water, 3 times a day, preferably between meals. Shake before using.
