Hulled barley

Description :

Barley has prehistoric origins, the main cradle of origin seems to have been identified in south-western Asia, where there are spontaneous crops from which some of the cultivated barley derives. Hordeum vulgare was most likely the first cereal cultivated by man, in fact there is evidence of crops dating back to the 10th century BC

Today it is one of the main foods of North Africa and the Far East.

Hulled barley, also called world barley, undergoes a process that eliminates the outermost parts of the grain, preserving most of the nutritional characteristics of the whole grain.
