Chestnut honey

Plant of origin: Castanea sativa.

Chestnut honey has a dark color with reddish hues, and a bitter taste, unlike other honeys.

If it is pure it remains liquid for several years, due to the high fructose content and low glucose content.

The smell is intense and very characteristic and unmistakable, tending to burnt wood and tannin.
