Properties of Functional Substances

Soy isoflavones
The most important isoflavones of soy are genistein and daidzein which are classified as phytoestrogens and which cover the whole range of estrogens, being of particular importance in menopausal women; these Soy derivatives also have antioxidant and cholesterol-lowering properties. They also help to reduce the appearance of circulatory disorders of menopause (hot flashes, tachycardias, sweats) and to protect against bone demineralization.

Black Cohosh
Its estrogen-like and anti-LH action is effective in the treatment of the most annoying menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, dryness of the vaginal mucous membranes.

Chaste tree
radically used in premenstrual syndrome and in particular in situations accompanied by water retention, it is useful in neurovegetative disorders, dizziness, intestinal spasm and insomnia.

Passionflower
It counteracts agitation and nervousness, but is also indicated for insomnia, even when it has depressive components. The active ingredients (especially flavonoids) act without clouding the concentration or inducing drowsiness during the day. It therefore favors a physiological sleep and a rapid and complete awakening without consequences on attention and vigilance.

Red Clover
It soothes problems related to the menstrual cycle: hot flashes, osteoporosis, vaginal dryness, depression, insomnia and cardiovascular disease. In particular, the 4 isoflavones, natural estrogens contained in it, are fully exploited, which perform an important antioxidant action that helps to counteract the aging associated with menopause.

Manganese (Gluconate)
It is a mineral that occurs naturally in our body in very small quantities. Some of the benefits of manganese include those for healthy bone structure, for better bone metabolism, and for supporting the creation of enzymes essential for building bone. It also acts as a coenzyme to assist metabolic activity in the human body. Apart from these, there are other benefits including connective tissue formation, calcium absorption, proper functioning of thyroid and sex hormones, regulation of blood sugar level and metabolism.

Selenomethionine
Micronutrient essential for life, as it is part of the biosynthesis of selenoproteins (about 25) that are synthesized by the thyroid gland, most of which are involved in the metabolism of thyroid hormones and in the protection from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Calcium D-Pantothenate
Essential component of coenzyme A and some peptide coenzymes, involved in several key reactions of amino acid, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. It plays an important role in the growth and normal functioning of organic tissue. It protects the mucous membranes from infections and optimizes the metabolic processes of the skin and epithelial tissue. It is involved in skin regenerative processes such as wound healing and epithelialization, stimulation of hair growth and pigmentation.

Vitamin B6
Also known as pyridoxine, it is part of the B vitamins. This group is made up of 8 vitamins that work synergistically to help convert the foods we eat into energy. Together, the B vitamins promote the functioning of the nervous system and protect the health of eyes, hair, liver and skin.

C vitamin
Fundamental for the body, it intervenes to prevent capillary haemorrhages and being also a powerful antioxidant, it blocks the aging of the body and the destructive action of free radicals and balances the levels of vitamin E, equally important for the human being. Promotes harmonious development of the organism and tissue repair.

Vitamin E
Scientifically known as tocopherol, it is a fat-soluble vitamin (dissolves in fats). It has antioxidant properties, strengthens the immune system, blocks the oxidation of bad cholesterol and prevents the formation of blood clots and atherosclerotic plaques thus making heart attack and coronary thrombosis less likely.

Magnesium
It is essential for the activity and balance of the nervous system: it has a relaxing and calming action and reduces the excitability of the nerves and muscles. It reduces the secretion of adrenaline and is effective for relieving cramps and relaxing tensions, for example in case of headaches and against nervousness, irritable bowel, tachycardia and stomach pains.
