Procyanidolic oligomers (OPC) are bioflavonoids, which in numerous studies have shown to have actions on the vessel wall that favor the trophism of the microcirculation and the functionality of vessel permeability.
During inflammatory processes, enzymes and free radicals are released in large quantities which damage the endothelium of blood vessels. OPCs inhibit these protein-based enzymes and neutralize the effect of free radicals with their antioxidant activity.
