Pelargonium extract is mainly used to combat acute and chronic infections of the lower and upper respiratory tract.

Pelargonium sidoides is a plant native to South Africa. Widely used in folk medicine for the treatment of respiratory tract diseases. Pelargonium has also been declared THMPC (Traditional Herbal Medicinal Product) for the symptomatic treatment of the common cold, with an evident action on the reduction of nasal congestion, cough, headache and pain.

In addition to traditional uses, various studies have shown the effectiveness of Pelargonium even in cases of respiratory tract infections. Most of the experimental and clinical research has focused on the treatment of infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract and the active ingredients have mainly antiviral, antibacterial and modulating activity of the immune system.

It inhibits the penetration of the virus into the cell, if the cell has already been infected it inhibits its replication

Antibacterial to Gram + and Gram -

Mucus fluidifier (ideal ground for the proliferation of bacteria)

Immunostimulant

Contains Gallic Acid which activates the immune system and defense mechanisms against infections

Indications

It is indicated for both adults and children in the treatment of bronchitis, tonsillo-pharyngitis and rhinosinusitis.

How to use

Treatment of 7-10 days is recommended. Dissolve one tablet in 50/100 ml of water, cold or hot, to taste.

Children : It is recommended to take one tablet, three times a day (morning, afternoon and evening).

Adults : 2 tablets, three times a day.
