What is Folisid Forte used for?

Folisid® forte is a food supplement based on microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate (SunActive® Fe), folic acid, vitamin C and copper, useful in cases of reduced intake or increased need for these nutrients. Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Folic acid contributes to normal hematopoiesis and to the growth of maternal tissues in pregnancy. In women of childbearing age, the supplementary intake of folic acid increases the state of maternal folate. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the fetus. Copper contributes to the normal transport of iron in the body, finally Vitamin C increases the absorption of Iron.
By virtue of the components present, the product is indicated to supplement the diet during pregnancy.
Folisid® forte is a food supplement useful in cases where iron supplementation is required even for long periods according to the doctor's opinion.

How to use

We recommend taking one tablet a day to be swallowed with plenty of water, possibly on an empty stomach or according to medical advice. For an optimal use of the product we recommend the doctor's opinion.

Warnings and Contraindications

Food supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not take in case of ascertained hypersensitivity to one or more components of the product. The beneficial effect on increasing the state of maternal folate is obtained with a supplementary daily intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. The development of neural tube defects in the fetus is due to multiple risk factors; intervention on one of these factors may or may not produce the indicated health effect. Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age. Store in a cool and dry place avoiding exposure to sources of light and heat. The minimum storage term refers to the product correctly stored in an unopened package. Do not dispose of the container in the environment.
