TRAD Stethoscope
Description
Medical device.
Instructions for use
Position the headband so that the inclination is approximately 15° and the eartips are positioned in line with the bridge of the nose pointing forward of you.
In this way the binaural headband will be aligned with the ear canals and you will obtain a clear and high-pitched sound.
Holding the bow forward with a rod in each hand, open the leaves apart and insert the olives into the ears.
If it does not feel comfortable or the performance is poor, adjust the tension of the headband. Gently press the arms of the binaural headband together to increase tension, separate them to reduce tension.
Diaphragm change:
Although the membrane is robustly made and designed to last a long time, it may need to be replaced.
In this case, proceed as follows: - remove the support ring, being careful not to damage it (for screw models, rotate the ring anticlockwise), then remove the membrane.
- insert the new membrane and reposition the support ring making sure that it is well fixed (for screw models, rotate the ring clockwise).
Frequency/Pavilion Selection for Dual Head Models Only:
by rotating the head 180° it is possible to change listening mode by opening (or indexing) the side you want to use, membrane or open bell: select the membrane, to listen to high frequencies, or the open bell, to listen to low frequencies.
If the membrane is open, the bell will be closed, preventing the sound from coming from the bell, and vice versa. To find out which of the two sides is active, place the olives in the ears and apply light pressure on the membrane or on the hole of the bell.
Warnings
Excessive tension may weaken the bow.
For optimal performance, it is important to use the size eartips that best fit your ears. This is especially important if you use soft conformable olives.
- Keep away from extreme heat and cold, solvents and oils.
- Do not immerse the product in liquids and do not subject it to sterilization processes.
- Disinfect the product after each use by applying a 70% isopropyl alcohol-based solution.
- Avoid damage to the product with sharp objects.
- Periodically unscrew the olives to clean them. Clean the olives (and the various parts of the product, if applicable) with alcohol or soapy water and dry them completely before reassembly. Make sure you have firmly repositioned the eartips on the ends of the binaural headband.
- Do not use the product disassembled (e.g. without olives) and/or if there is visible damage.
storage
Keep in a cool and dry place.
