WHAT IS MANUKA HONEY

Manuka honey is collected from plants belonging to the Leptospermum family which give the honey a high percentage of methylglyoxal. Australian Berringa Manuka Honey is the only one with the highest concentration of MGO in the world.

EFFECTIVENESS SUPPORTED BY SCIENTIFIC STUDIES

Manuka honey has been used for millennia for several generations, but its worldwide discovery and consumption is traced back to a few decades. Manuka honey is becoming part of alternative medicine thanks to the beneficial and antimicrobial activity of its active ingredient MGO.

Recent studies conducted by the University of Sidney on Molecular and Microbiological Biotechnologies have highlighted that Australian Manuka honey possesses antibacterial activity thanks to the content of an active ingredient called Methylglyoxal; in fact, it has been shown that honeys with an MGO content in the range between 500 and 1750 mg / kg have an excellent relationship between MGO itself and antimicrobial activity.

ADVICE FOR USE

INTERNAL USE:
1 teaspoon 120+ manuka honey (about 5 g) 1 or 2 times a day. Better if not heated.
TOPICAL USE:
• as symptomatic support of minor injuries, burns, eczema, psioriasis and irritation
• as a support for skin problems, wounds, scratches, bruises, cuts, abrasions.
