What is gluten sensitivity?

This definition has recently been used to identify a disorder characterized by the manifestation of symptoms typical of celiac disease in subjects who are not affected.

Celiac disease and gluten sensitivity: differences

Celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disease of the small intestine triggered by the ingestion of gluten by genetically predisposed individuals. It is ascertained through blood and endoscopic tests. The treatment involves the total and definitive exclusion of all foods that contain this protein. Non-celiac gluten sensitivity is still a gastrointestinal but not pathological disorder, which in any case requires the (often only temporary) abolition of foods containing gluten from the diet.

Symptoms

They are almost identical to those of celiac disease: abdominal pain and swelling, alterations of the alveum (diarrhea or constipation), headache and clouded mind, fatigue, with or without muscle-joint pain and dermatitis.

How to use

1 - 2 tablets about 15-20 minutes before main meals or, if necessary, before taking foods containing gluten. It is recommended to take it for at least 2 months, 1 before lunch and 1 before dinner without interruption. Subsequently only when needed.

Warnings

Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach and sight of children under three years of age. Use is not recommended in cases of ascertained hypersensitivity to one or more of the ingredients listed. Not suitable for celiacs.

Method of conservation

Store in a dry place and avoid exposure to localized heat sources and sunlight.

Ingrediants

maltodextrin; Tolerase 3® (micro-granulated enzymatic preparation containing prolyl oligopeptidase and maltodextrin); Enzymix® [mixture of digestive enzymes: amylase, protease, lipase, glucoamitase, cellulase and pectinase from maltodextrin fermented with Aspergyllus oryzae and Aspergyllus niger); anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids.

What is Tolerase®G?

It is scientifically proven that Tolerase® G, a proline endopeptidase or prolyl-oligopeptidase, is the only food enzyme that helps break down gluten in the stomach. It gives intolerant patients on a gluten-free diet greater freedom, since they no longer have to worry about accidental consumption of residual gluten hidden in many foods.
