GEMELLIHEALTH ™ Immun-ONS is a Food for Special Medical Purposes (AFMS) specially formulated for the dietary management of malnutrition states of cancer patients suffering from gynecological, urological and gastrointestinal tract neoplasms, in the perioperative phase.

Its composition is characterized by the presence of essential nutrients for which a specific role has been recognized in the context of immunonutrition, such as

Hydrolyzed whey proteins and caseins that allow a reduction of the digestive load which results in greater efficiency in amino acid assimilation.

Low ED maltodextrins that allow you to keep blood glucose levels constant and promote a greater flow of water to the tissues which results in better muscle recovery following surgery.

• The lipid portion of the formula features a unique complex consisting of medium-chain triglycerides, Omega-3 from fish oil, flaxseed oil and borage oil.
• The formula includes the presence of the main nutritional principles that are recognized to have a consolidated role in the field of immunonutrition including: L-glutamine, L-arginine, L-leucine.
• The formula is enriched in antioxidants (pomegranate eg tit 20% opc, reduced glutathione, beta-carotene)

It has a complete profile of vitamins and minerals adapted to the specific needs identified.

GEMELLIHEALTH ™ Immun-ONS is suitable for oral administration in adult patients, for whom a specific immunonutrition intervention is required.

The dose should be determined by the physician based on the estimated specific needs.

METHOD OF USE

GEMELLIHEALTHTM Immun-ONS is suitable for oral administration in adult patients, for whom a specific immunonutrition intervention is required. The dose should be determined by the physician based on the estimated specific needs. As a guideline, it is recommended to take 1 to 4 sachets / day, in consideration of the patient's status according to the following scheme:

• Pre-surgery treatment: 2-3 sachets / day, in the 8-10 days preceding the surgery.
• Medium duration treatment: 3 sachets / day, for 10-15 days after surgery.
• Long-lasting treatment: 1 sachet / day, up to a month and a half after surgery. Instructions for preparation.

Dissolve the contents of each of the 30 g sachets in about 100 ml of still water (or other acceptable beverage) at room temperature and mix well before taking. Use immediately and do not refrigerate after reconstitution. The food is also suitable for enteral nutrition, according to the dosage schedule established by the doctor, in relation to the individual patient.

WARNINGS

GEMELLIHEALTHTM Immun-ONS must be used under medical supervision and indication. It is not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition and must not be administered parenterally. The product may pose health risks if consumed by people not affected by the disease, disorder or pathological state for which the product is indicated.

Store in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. The expiry date refers to the product properly stored, in unopened package.
