Gastro-esophageal reflux disease, also referred to as GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease), is a functional disease associated with a set of typical symptoms, such as

• Burning in the chest (retrosternal heartburn),
• Acid or alkaline regurgitation
• Regurgitation from position (supine)
• Regurgitation at night
• Cramps
• Painless feeling of difficulty in swallowing (dysphagia)
• Irritative cough
• Cough at night
• Dysphonia (hoarseness, aphonia)

Symptoms may or may not be associated with erosive inflammatory lesions of the esophageal mucosa. An incorrect diet or a hectic lifestyle can significantly affect the production of gastric juices, increasing gastric acidity and causing that annoying and painful burning sensation, especially after meals. This excessive acidity can also be felt at the pit of the stomach, with sensations of burning, cramps, swelling, nausea and heaviness. GERD can also occur during the night's rest, as the supine position favors the ascent of the gastric juice into the esophagus, which is devoid of a wall suitable to withstand gastric acidity, with consequent onset of burning in the chest.

GErDOFF® Protection is an original and innovative combination of Chondroitin-Sulfate, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe and Honey, useful as an adjuvant for the symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, thanks to its properties:

• Moisturizing, lubricating and protective, due to the formation of a viscous layer that covers the esophageal mucosa by gripping it and thus exerting a barrier action, useful for preventing contact of the mucosa itself with external agents, and to help relieve it the irritative states and to favor, therefore, a correct trophism and a correct functionality.

• Emollient and soothing on the oropharyngeal and esophageal mucosa, useful to relieve the most common symptoms of GERD and to calm coughs. • Protects damaged gastric tissue and promotes the regeneration of the damaged mucosa itself, useful for preventing damage induced by the irritating action of the acids produced by the stomach.

The formulation in syrup and sachets allows a better contact of the components with the esophageal wall and promotes its protection and lubrication.

Chondroitin-Sulphate , adhering to the gastroesophageal mucosa, protects it effectively isolating it from the attack of gastric juices.

Hyaluronic Acid , in combination with the adhesive properties of Chondroitin Sulphate, protects the damaged gastric tissue and promotes its reintegration.

Honey exerts a soothing, moisturizing and protective action due to the formation of a film that covers the esophageal mucosa, with a barrier action, protecting the irritated mucosa and hydrating it, thus relieving the sensation of pain. Furthermore, honey, also acting on the oropharyngeal mucosa, relieves throat irritation caused by the acidity of reflux.

Aloe , together with the properties of honey, exerts a refreshing, soothing and protective action on the esophageal mucosa, exerting a barrier effect. In fact, aloe, thanks to its content in mucopolysaccharides, has gastroprotective properties, because, being distributed on the mucous membrane of the stomach, they form a sort of film that protects the entire gastric tract from acids or irritants that would alter its correct functioning. .

Composition

Waterfall; honey; maltodextrin; fructose; chondroitin sulfate; potassium phosphate; dipotassium phosphate; xanthan gum; sodium hyaluronate; aloe vera gel (aloe barbadensis); guar flour; cream flavoring; sodium hydroxide; methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate sodium salt; sodium propylparaben.

Doses Adults and children over 12 years
