GERDOFF Sofar - Medical Device

Gerdoff is a medical device with mechanical action that allows to rapidly reduce the symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux, such as: heartburn, epigastric pain, acid regurgitation, irritative cough, dysphonia. Also useful in the symptomatic treatment of hyperacidity (pain and occasional heartburn).
Gerdoff is an original and innovative combination of Chondroitin Sulphate, Hyaluronic Acid and Aluminum Hydroxide. It contributes to the protective effect against the irritating action of the hydrochloric acid produced by the stomach. The presentation in tablets, to be dissolved initially in the mouth, stimulates salivation which allows better contact of the components with the esophageal wall and favors its protection and lubrication. Chondroitin Sulphate, adhering to the esophageal-mucosal mucosa, protects it effectively isolating it from the attack of the gastric suckers. Hyaluronic Acid, in combination with the adhesive properties of Chondroitin Sulphate, protects the damaged esophagus tissue and promotes its re-integration. Aluminum Hydroxide acts as an antacid, reducing the aggressiveness of gastric juices towards the damaged mucosa.

Ingrediants

Chondroitin sulfate, sodium salt, sucrose, aluminum hydroxide, calcium carbonate; anti-caking agents: mono-di-tri-glycerides of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate; aroma; sweetener: glycyrized ammonium.

How to use

Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets after main meals and before bedtime, or as needed in case of onset of symptoms such as stomach pain and burning, according to medical advice.
Children over 6 years: it is recommended to use the product only after consulting your doctor. 1 tablet, after main meals and / or before bedtime, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn. If necessary, the tablet can be divided in half, using the pre-fracture line.
The tablets are initially dissolved in the mouth and then chewed. Their intake can also be followed by the ingestion of water or milk.

Warnings

Prolonged use of the product, due to the astringent action of aluminum, can cause constipation.
Use the product during pregnancy and lactation after consulting your doctor.
The product contains aluminum, which may interfere with the simultaneous use of drugs, citrates can increase the absorption of aluminum.
It is advisable not to take drugs 1 hour before and 2 hours after using the product and only after consulting your doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
In case of adverse reactions, stop treatment and consult your doctor.
After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.
The product contains sucrose, this should be taken into account in diabetic patients.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindicated in cases of renal insufficiency, hypophosphataemia and known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
