Indications

Wrist conditions that can benefit from compression, such as:

• Rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic pain conditions
• Distractions and strains
• Pain from overuse
• Tendinopathy

Main functions of the Medical Device

The medical device provides relief from chronic wrist pain, limits movement, provides adequate compression and functional improvement.

Characteristics

• Wrist orthosis with ergonomic palmar splint, removable and moldable.
• Removable inelastic band with hook-and-loop closure and hole for housing the styloid apophysis of the ulna (external lateral bone protrusion of the wrist).
• Area with perforated fabric at the hole for inserting the thumb.
• 3D Motion Technology fabric designed for the best adaptation to the shape of the wrist

How to wear it

Detach the removable band. Insert your hand into the orthosis like a glove by inserting the thumb into the hole provided. Make sure that the palmar splint is aligned with the forearm. Reposition the strap on the hook and loop gusset so that the styloid process of the ulna (external lateral bony protrusion of the wrist) is centered in the hole provided. Wrap the band around your wrist, insert it into the loop, stretch it and secure it with the hook and loop fastener.

Contraindications

Do not use in cases where compression is contraindicated.

Warnings and precautions for use

Store in a dry environment away from excessive heat and light.

Do not prolong the use of the product without medical advice.

The product is designed for use by one person only, do not use it on multiple people.

The product must not be used in direct contact with damaged skin.

When adjusting the strap, tighten it so that it is stable but comfortable.

The brace should not be used if relative, absolute immobilization or surgery is required.

If you encounter problems in using the product such as the appearance of pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare professional.

In the event of a serious accident following the use of the product, contact the manufacturer and the local health care provider.

It is advisable, the first time, to have the product positioned by a qualified operator and to carry out subsequent positioning independently in the same way.

Washing instructions

Hand wash in warm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, wring gently, let dry horizontally. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.

Instructions for disposal

The product must be disposed of in compliance with current regulations. CASE: C / PAP 81 - PAPER. Recycling. Check the provisions of your municipality.
