Common or vulgar warts are skin lesions caused by a virus of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) family and manifest as a thickening of the surface layer of the skin.

Warts are relapsing and can be stubborn to remove and easily transmitted from person to person via contact.

To treat warts and reduce the chances of contagion, Giuliani Pharmacological Research has formulated a new product that combines a topical treatment in solution with the protective action of specific warts patches .

Each pack of Trosyd® Wortie Solution + Patches contains 18 patches that are nearly invisible, water-proof (water-resistant) and easy to apply. The solution and plasters for hand and foot warts are suitable for adults and children from 4 years of age.

Treatment

• Cleanse the area to be treated.
• Apply a thin layer of Trosyd® Solution directly to the wart on dry and clean skin, using the special brush and taking care to avoid the surrounding areas of healthy skin.
• Let it dry for about 30 seconds.
• Apply the wart patch.
• Leave the patch in place for at least 4 hours or until it begins to peel off on its own. If the patch is still on the wart after 24 hours, remove it and wash the area with warm soapy water.
• Repeat the application twice a week, until the wart is completely removed.

The duration of treatment varies from patient to patient, and the healing time can be assessed in relation to the extent of the wart itself. Thanks to a 4-week treatment with Trosyd® Wortie Solution + Patches, warts generally tend to disappear.
