COMPOSITION : Walnut (Juglans regia L.) leaves; Gymnema (Gymnema silvestre L.) leaves dry extract (titrated 25% in gymnemic acid), Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) leaves, Jambul (Eugenia jambolana Lamarck) fruit, Poterium spinosum (Poterium spinosum L.) root.

PACKAGING : 90 tablets of 700 mg

PROPERTIES : Walnut leaves are rich in phenolic compounds such as naphthoquinones and tannins. The naphthoquinones represented essentially by juglone appear to be responsible for stimulating the pancreatic activity involved in the production of insulin. The gymnema silvestre is a small shrub from Central Africa but also present in India which is the most important supplier. In India, gymnema leaves are used to treat diabetes. In fact, the Indian name of the plant gur – ma means sugar dispenser. In fact, it contains gymnemic acid which, by saturating the receptors of the taste buds and the intestinal wall, limits the absorption of sugars and facilitates diuresis. The bilberry is particularly known for the properties of its berries but the leaves are also effective. The latter contain flavonoids such as quercetin, isoquercetin, hyperoside and numerous flavonic derivatives, organic acids and 7% of tannins, minerals in particular manganese, chromium and anthocyanosides such as mirtillin. The presence of mirtillin and chromium are probably responsible for the hypoglycemic effect demonstrated experimentally. Chromium represents a glucose tolerance factor and is effective in the therapy of experimentally induced type II diabetes mellitus in animals. The jambul fruit is also used in India where studies carried out by researchers from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi were encouraging, specialists monitored blood values of kidney function, such as plasma glucose levels and body weight. , revealing that all the values have more or less regularized, thanks to the use of plant extracts. Its use is therefore indicated to physiologically regulate blood glucose levels. Finally, Poterium Spinosum is a little-known local plant, whose roots have been particularly studied by Piterà, an expert in gemmotherapy. In particular, Piterà carried out a clinical study in Liguria from 1992 to 1995 on the hypoglycemic effect of the mother tincture obtained from the fresh root and confirmed its effectiveness, both in subjects suffering from mild, medium and severe hypoglycemia.

INDICATIONS : Product indicated in cases of glycemic alterations, in particular in subjects suffering from type II diabetes mellitus, linked to age and a diet rich in sugars. PRECAUTIONS, SIDE EFFECTS, INTERACTIONS: Hypersensitivity to one of the components
